Feeling disconnected from your body, your confidence, or the life you once knew?
RECLAIM YOUR STRENGTH AFTER STROKE

Stroke Recovery From the Inside Out
Hi! I’m Loes.
I truly believe the human mind and body have an incredible capacity to heal, adapt, and rise.

After experiencing my own traumatic brain injury, I found myself in a very dark place - physically, mentally, and emotionally. That experience led me on a deep journey into the power of the subconscious mind and the brain’s ability to heal and rewire itself. Through the inner work of subconscious reprogramming, I began rebuilding my strength, reconnecting with my body, and discovering just how powerful the mind–body connection can be.

This work changed everything for me. Over the years, I’ve also had the honor of guiding many people through powerful inner shifts as they rebuild confidence, resilience, and belief in themselves.

It is now my purpose to walk alongside you on your recovery journey so you don’t have to face the emotional and mental challenges of stroke/TBI alone.

I am here to help you reconnect with your strength, your confidence, and your life.

SUCCESS STORIES

“I am currently working with Loes as I make some big life transitions. I suffered a stroke about 3 years ago, at 44 years old, without any pre-existing conditions and was told by Cleveland Clinic it was likely stress. I had unusual stress in that year and my body gave out. I spent the last three years trying to recover to my old life. The reality is that I'm not going to be able to return to my former driven, type A self, nor should I. I met Loes on a stroke retreat the summer of 2025 and began our work together. I saw immediate mindset shifts and knew I needed to continue my work with her. She has been invaluable in guiding me through the process of putting myself first, creating boundaries and setting the stage for some big changes coming in 2026. For the first time since the stroke, I can see an end to my cycle of exhaustion as I gather the strength to rebuild my life. I am so excited to continue my work with her am so blessed to have met her.“

“Anyone who has experienced a life-altering event like a stroke knows it takes not only a physical toll, but a tremendous mental and emotional one as well. Recovery is not just about the body - it’s about rebuilding belief, strength, and identity.
I have experienced both traditional talk therapy and hypnotherapy, and the difference has been profound. Traditional therapy often felt like being pulled back into the pain of the past, while every session with Loes leaves me feeling stronger than when I began.
She has an exceptional ability to identify the deeper challenges beneath the surface and guide the work in a way that builds resilience, confidence, and forward momentum.
In one of the sessions we focused on the lack of feeling in my palm and fingers, and something shifted - I regained sensation.
After every session, I walk away with renewed belief that I can continue my recovery and face the challenges ahead with strength and resilience.
I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“When I first got here and heard we were doing hypnosis, I honestly thought it was a little crazy. But after experiencing it and seeing the results, I would absolutely do it again.I had a brace on my left ankle and a lot of fear after spraining it. I was afraid of injuring it again. During the session we went to a place where I felt really comfortable, and I was able to sit next to my fear and release it.
The hypnosis helped me let go of that fear, and now I can safely train without my brace and walk normally again.
I also had no feeling or sensation in my left foot. During our session we identified the areas that did and did not have feeling, and through the hypnosis we worked on putting more weight on the foot. Since then I now have full sensitivity back in my foot.“

“I’m here in South Carolina in an intensive stroke recovery program and I’ve been working with Loes, a hypnotherapist here. The experience has been amazing. Not only do I feel physically stronger and improving, but the mental side of recovery is just as important. Through our sessions I’ve been able to release negativity, trauma, and difficult experiences from the past, which creates more energy and space to focus on healing.
The work helped me become more aware of my body, my strength, and what I’m capable of. Instead of focusing on negative thoughts or energy, I now feel courage, confidence, freedom, and lightness again. It truly feels like a new beginning and it has been life-changing for me.”

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Loes for the six hypnosis sessions we worked through together.
Living with a vascular spinal cord injury (T1–T6) is an ongoing journey that calls for resilience, patience, and trust in the body’s capacity to heal and adapt. Through these sessions, I was able to work through old habits and mental patterns, while also supporting my healing process on a deeper level.
The sessions we did together helped me reconnect with my body in a new way. I experienced more inner calm, a growing sense of safety, and most importantly, an increasing awareness and feeling in my body, along with a greater sense of freedom of movement.
This work strengthened my resilience and helped me move forward with more confidence, balance, and self-trust. Loes guided this process with professionalism, warmth, and deep respect, creating a safe space for real change.
I am truly grateful for the positive impact these sessions have had on my recovery and overall wellbeing. Thank you, Loes, for your support and guidance on this healing journey.“

Collaboration in Stroke Recovery
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with the stroke recovery programs developed by Linda Rådestad and Arjan Kuipers.

Linda’s own journey after suffering a severe stroke in 2016 has inspired many stroke survivors. After being told she would never walk or talk again, she proved through determination and innovative rehabilitation approaches that recovery can go far beyond what many people expect. She has shared her story through her TEDx talk and her book, bringing hope and awareness to stroke recovery.

Together with Arjan, a neuroscientist specializing in functional neurology and brain rehabilitation, they developed programs that support stroke survivors in rebuilding strength, mobility, and neurological function.

Through our collaboration - including stroke rehabilitation retreats and online support - I work with stroke survivors from these programs, helping them strengthen the mental and emotional side of recovery alongside physical rehabilitation.

My work adds the mental and emotional dimension to physical rehabilitation, bringing mind and body together for a more complete and holistic approach to stroke recovery.

They are deeply passionate about stroke recovery, innovative in their approach, and truly think outside the box. Their dedication is inspiring, and their mission is to help millions of stroke survivors realize what is possible in their recovery.
