Welcome to La Alegria Hypnosis, a space for transformation, inner healing, and reconnecting with the light within you.
“La Alegría” is the Spanish translation of my Dutch birth name, De Vreugd, which means joy and happiness. To me, it represents the light we all carry within, even if life sometimes makes us forget it.
I am very passionate about my work and the transformations I witness in people’s lives. My mission is to help bring hypnotherapy into the mainstream as a safe, fast, and effective path to transformation.
My Story
For many years, I lived a life of adventure, traveling to over 80 countries and immersing myself in cultures around the world. I was always exploring, searching, and following my curiosity.
However, it was within my own country, the Netherlands, that life took an unforeseen turn. A traumatic brain injury forced me into a deeply introspective healing journey, as life stripped away all distractions and left me with no choice but to turn inward.
During my first meditation, a beam of light broke through the darkness! Little did I know that this moment would define my life forever. It ignited a flame of hope and became my driving force. Cut off from the outside world, I embraced silence and discovered the transformative power of the subconscious mind.
I rewired my brain to believe and feel that I was healthy before it was my reality. First my mood changed then my body followed.
This profound experience, fueled by my own healing from a traumatic brain injury, ignited a deep passion and purpose within me to assist others on their healing journeys and empower them to unlock their inner potential in the subconscious mind.
Having completed my studies at the Hypnosis Motivational Institute, an accredited vocational college in Southern California, I acquired extensive knowledge in accessing the subconscious mind through hypnosis. I also received training in techniques like EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and guided imagery, enhancing my ability to facilitate transformative change.
Driven by my own experiences and a strong desire to help others, I am now guiding individuals towards unlocking their inner power at "La Alegria" Hypnosis.
My goal is to assist you in overcoming your obstacles, unlocking your limitless potential, and experiencing a fulfilling life. Drawing inspiration from the belief that "there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in," I aim to guide you towards your own rays of sunshine and, of course, La Alegria!
